Description

This tweed style combo guitar amp has both a classic retro look and all the famous Fender guitar tones ready to hand but without the vintage price tag. Finished in authentic tweed covering and sporting a stylish chrome panel, it looks every bit as though it was made in a different era and it sounds as gloriously vintage as it looks.

The Blues Deluxe houses a 12” 8 ohm Eminence speaker and 2 x 6L6 Groove Tube power tubes, which are perfectly voiced for classic blues sounds as you might expect from the amplifier’s name. This combo however is a deceptive amp, as it also serves up a delicious clean country twang, great jazz sounds and those classic ‘break-up’ overdrive tones with ease. Plug a Stratocaster or Telecaster in and you’ll really wonder why you ever used any other amplifier.

The Blues Deluxe is equipped with two distinct channels (a normal channel with an added bright switch and the secondary drive channel) so you can move from Wes to Keef with just a turn of the gain control. It also hosts an excellent spring reverb circuit, which would satisfy any discerning surf guitarist. With 3x 12AX7 preamp tubes and plenty tonal range in the front panel controls, there isn’t much that this amp can’t do in terms of high-quality Fender guitar tone.

Further features with this combo include an effects loop for interfacing your favourite pedals (particularly effective in the normal channel) and a two-button footswitch for changing between channels and switching on & off the reverb. The amp’s vintage looks are rounded out with chrome style controls with chicken-head pointer knobs.
This amp is in pristine condition and has never been gigged. One online reviewer referred to this Fender’s tones as simply ‘a gift from heaven’, which is high praise indeed. If you are craving a classic Fender combo with great sonic personality and stunning vintage looks, then you simply can’t go wrong with this combo.
