2000 Benedetto Benny
Description
I don't want this to sound cheesy, but this little Benny reminds me of a Sophisticated Lady I once wished I’d known. Even the colour – honey blond and espresso – sounds like someone you’d like to be close to. She’s sleek, refined and has immaculate pedigree. Plus she’s got a real cute little brass button on her back, just where her neck joins her body and… hey the screen’s getting all steamed up…
Anyway, moving swiftly along, this lady’s no tramp, but she is a real bargain though, as list price for a new one is $6000. (That’s £3000 of our British quid, or a couple of tanks of petrol these days, and I know which I’d rather have.)
Here’s what it says on the Benedetto website:
Benny: Benedetto’s beautifully compact solid body electric guitar is designed for the player looking for a solid body Benedetto. Providing a wide spectrum of classic and modern tones, it features a select carved spruce top and chambered mahogany body with a Florentine cutaway. A warm and responsive guitar, with twin A–6 humbucking pickups and custom switching system, its tone replicates our carved top instruments.
See, chambered…that’s the secret.
