Gibson EB3 bass 69
Description
They call the colour walnut, although it's a solid mahogany SG-shaped body.
This bass has plenty of player wear, with a graze on the back and scuffing at the edges on the lower bout. It’s had a professional neck reset; you can see where the neck / body join was retouched in the process.
The case has a broken latch. None of these issues detract from the sound of course, and it’s got that amazing Gibson bass growl in the neck position and good funk sound back at the bridge.
Is the pickup selector switch original you ask? I dont know but there's a pic of the wiring (and a 2Mb hi res image if you double-click). I can tell you that not many players really liked the usual rotary switches on these, so the up / down selector is something of a players' preference.
