62 Gibson ES-125 TC
Description
Great looking guitar from the most desirable period (early sixties) having medium wide neck profile, gold bonnet knobs and lightly faded cherry sunburst finish.
Originally a TC with single pickup, this instrument has been painstakingly modified to have an extra pickup. It’s a Seymour Duncan at the bridge position with period correct knobs, which is why it looks just right. It’s had a pro refret, presumably at the same time. So, you get a really cool vintage guitar with all the vintage tone, vibes and gear plus meaty frets and a loud crunchy pickup. The tuners and tailpiece seem to be perfectly original, the case is modern. Slightly bent peg on G tuner, small chip at top right of front of headstock, otherwise in excellent condition.
Usually, any modification to a vintage instrument hurts its value, but this mod from a single to a double pickup has been done so faithfully, and to such an intrinsically good guitar, we feel it is almost an improvement on the original.
