Gibson ES-345 TD 67
Description
The 345 is a top notch guitar, based on the 335, but more elaborate and expensive than that model. Witness the gold plated hardware, the Varitone switch and, of course, the stereo circuitry.
If you like the vintage vibe (as we do) you are going to absolutely love this guitar. The gold has all but worn away from the hardware but most charismatically, the varnish has cracked all over giving it an almost leather texture – it’s really fantastic. Imagine all the hours of being played in smokey clubs that this guitar must have seen. The only actual damage is a small chip missing from the front left of the headstock (it’s been coloured-in but you should be able to see it in the pic).
You’ll need a stereo lead to play it (or a regular lead with the jack plugged only halfway in) and when you do it practically plays itself. You’ll be bending strings you never thought of moving! The neck is slim (mid sixties slim, but not the late sixties very thin).
A good and original investment piece for somebody who likes their guitars to look like they’ve lived (which I do, and which explains why I’ve been reluctant to even list it!) Complete with original hard case.
