Gibson-ES330-6367-(3)The Gibson ES-330 is a highly versatile thinline guitar that is often overlooked in favour of it’s more famous cousin, the ES-335.

The Gibson ES-330 however is a very fine instrument in its own right with a highly distinctive sonic character.

In contrast to the ES-335, the ES-330 is a fully hollow thinline guitar and instead of being equipped with two humbuckers (like the ES-335) it has two P-90 single coil pickups, so you have you instant access to all those glorious glassy, biting tones that are associated with single coils. As a Blues guitar for example, the ES-330 is a perfect choice for those howling back pickup solos.

The ES-330 has found favour with many different players over the years including Grant Green, Emily Remler and even Johnny Marr. A testament to its sheer versatility and ability to shine in a variety of musical styles.

Here at JGG we have a real love affair with the Gibson ES-330 and currently have three in stock, all very fine vintage instruments from the 1960’s. If you’d like to know more about the ES-330 or try one out then give us a call or e-mail us and we’d be happy to talk to you.
